Since 1924 SÄBU represents quality and reliability. Founded as "Sägewerk Buchen" the company soon developed to a major industrial enterprise for the production of prefabricated buildings. Initially wood was the basic construction material. In the course of permanent development and improvement steel became the second basis construction material. Today both materials are being applied in harmonized manner, so that the material properties of wood and steel are being used in an optimum way.

At present SÄBU employs about 250 people at two sites: Morsbach (70 km east of Cologne) and Gransee (70 km north of Berlin).

SÄBU offers three main product lines:

- SÄBU modular construction - also called "prefabricated buildings"

- FLADAFI modular rooms and storage containers

- SAFE storage containers for hazardous substances

Since 1924 the name SÄBU represents the large variety of modular construction:

modular wood and steel prefabricated construction: office buildings whether detached or attached to or built into storage or production halls: SÄBU modular construction offers fast, flexible and economic room for the use in industry, trade or municipal administration. Office buildings, administration buildings, canteens, hospitals, laboratories, nursing homes, schools, kinder gardens, sales rooms, service stations or foreman's office: the family enterprise SÄBU provides ready-to-use solutions.

In 1978 SÄBU developed a galvanized material container as a flat pack prefabricated assembly set which was patent-registered. The brand FLADAFI stands for sophisticated room and material containers for many different fields of application accompanied by a large variety of useful accessories.

Since 2004 the SAFE environment storage series complements the production lines. It was developed for the environmentally safe and conforming-to-the-law storage of water and environment endangering hazardous substances, indoor as well as outdoor.

SAFE Tank, SAFE Master and the different kinds of spill trays offer safety for the operational and environmentally sound storage of hazardous substances.
